Olympiacos expresses its strong indignation and protest regarding the public mention of its name by the Ethics and Sports Protection Committee, in connection with reports of possible match-fixing in the game against Doxa.
The Nicosia team categorically denies any involvement in match-fixing practices and demands the immediate withdrawal of the report and a public clarification, reserving the right to take legal action.

At the same time, it is asking the relevant authorities not to include this specific match in betting, emphasizing the need to protect the integrity of soccer and the club’s credibility.
The full statement reads as follows:
“The Board of Directors of Olympiakos Nicosia expresses its strong indignation and protest regarding the announcement by the Ethics and Sports Protection Committee, which specifically mentions our team’s match against Doxa Katokopia in connection with allegations of possible match-fixing.
We consider the public association of the name of Olympiacos Nicosia with such a serious matter to be unacceptable and unjustified, without any concrete evidence linking our Club to such practices.
We state in the strongest possible terms that Olympiacos Nicosia has absolutely no connection whatsoever to any act or practice of match-fixing.
Protecting the integrity of soccer is a self-evident obligation for everyone, and we support every effort to investigate suspicious incidents. However, the fight against such phenomena cannot be conducted in a way that casts doubt, suggestions, or impressions against clubs, without presenting evidence to justify publicly linking them to such cases.
We call on the Ethics and Sports Protection Committee to immediately remove the reference to Olympiacos Nicosia from the specific announcement and to issue a public clarification that no accusationis being made against our Club; otherwise, we will be forced to take legal action.
At the same time, we demand that the competent authorities immediately take the necessary steps to exclude this specific match from betting, in order to ensure the integrity of the match and avoid any further suspicion or controversy.
Olympiacos Nicosia, with its long history and contributions to Cypriot soccer, will not accept the unjustified association of its name with matters that undermine its prestige and credibility.
We demand respect for the history, name, and dignity of Olympiacos Nicosia.”
