A 16-year-old was viciously attacked by other minors shortly after he had met with a peer to resolve a dispute they had.

And instead of just one, more than 10 people ambushed him, beating him viciously, and only stopped when they realized that other people were watching them.
Investigation
“The minor was examined by a doctor and is suffering from bruises, contusions, and a broken nose, and the case is being investigated with the utmost seriousness by the Nicosia Criminal Investigation Department.”

So while investigations continue into this very serious incident, the entire community is watching in shock as yet another incident of violence among minors unfolds—one that, once again, was captured on camera.

Behind the many questions surrounding this shocking case, there is obviously a deeper social issue that everyone sees, yet few grasp the gravity of.

Explaining that despite existing relevant legislation, the state is currently struggling to act preventively, repressively, and to manage the situation following such incidents.
The 16-year-old gave a statement to the authorities
According to a report by journalist Giorgos Chrysanthou on the station’s main newscast, the procedure took place in the afternoon and lasted three hours. In addition to the 16-year-old’s father, the family’s attorney was also present.
During the testimony, considerable information was provided regarding the circumstances of the incident, the individuals involved, and the events leading up to it.
According to the same information, investigators are expected to move on to the next stage of the investigation tomorrow, which will proceed along two lines. On the one hand, a process will be carried out to identify the individuals allegedly captured on the relevant video. On the other hand, other individuals are expected to be summoned to testify, accompanied by their guardians, as they are minors between the ages of 15 and 17.
At the same time, it cannot be ruled out that at least one arrest of a person aged 15–17 may occur in the coming hours.
