The second matchday of the Champions League group stage sends Olivier Giroud back to the English capital, where he has achieved great success—both with Arsenal and—even more so——with Chelsea.
For now, as a member of Lille, the seasoned French forward will face off against the “Gunners” and reunite with old acquaintances and friends at “Emirates,” where his current team will attempt to get a result against the English champions.

Meanwhile, Manchester United, following another setback in the Premier League and a 1-1 draw with Tottenham, will face a tough test in Madrid against Diego Simeone’s Atlético. The “Rojiblancos” suffered a comeback defeat in the tournament opener against Liverpool at Anfield and will be looking to bounce back against yet another English opponent.
Barcelona will need to… tune out the noise made by Galatasaray fans at Istanbul’s “Ali Sami Yen” Stadium in what promises to be a very dangerous away match for the “Blaugrana,” the impressive Inter Milan hosts Club Brugge, while Ioannidis and Vagiannidis’s Sporting Lisbon travels to face Lens.
