The Cyprus Resuscitation Council (KY.S.AN.) is a scientific body organized as a nonprofit association. Its mission is to improve survival rates for victims of cardiac arrest, both in and out of the hospital, through the training of healthcare professionals and the general public. KY.S.A.N. is a member of the European Resuscitation Council (ERC).
As part of https://www.ilcor.org/wrah/, on October 16, 2026, and as part of the celebration of its 21st anniversary, the Cyprus Resuscitation Council (KYSAN) is launching an awareness campaign aimed at educating the public about the importance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Additionally, as part of this campaign, KY.S.A.N. has produced a video clip highlighting the basic procedures and techniques for resuscitating a person in cardiac arrest. During the press conference, held on October 7, 2025, the video clip and its lyrics were presented and premiered, with the aim of spreading the message as widely as possible.

ALPHA Radio is supporting this effort with a live broadcast from the Mall of Cyprus, on Sunday, October 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., alongside radio producers Erilena Pelagia and Aspa Koga.
The campaign and events organized by KY.S.A.N. are held under the patronage of the First Lady of the Republic of Cyprus, Mrs. Filippas Karsera-Christodoulides, with the support of the Pan-Cyprian Medical Association (P.I.S.) and the Pan-Cyprian Association of Nurses and Midwives (PASYNM).
