Panathinaikos continues to place its trust in “its own” players. The “Greens,” committed to the club’s current project, continue to place their trust in the players who have come up through their academy.
One of them is Christos Geitonas. The “Clover” has therefore announced the extension of the 17-year-old goalkeeper’s contract through 2029. Geitonas is a key player on the U-17 championship-winning team, and since the summer, he has been training daily with the first team and playing for the U-19 squad.
The club’s announcement:
“Panathinaikos FC announces the extension of Christos Geitonas’s contract. Our goalkeeper has signed his new contract, which runs through June 30, 2029.
The young goalkeeper joined the Panathinaikos Academy in 2021. He is an international player for the youth national teams, representing our country. Last season, he was a key player on the U-17 championship-winning team, and since the summer, he has been training daily with the first team and playing for the U-19 squad.
In his first comments after signing his new contract, Christos Geitonas said:
“This new contract is an extra incentive for me to keep working hard and get better every day. I want to prove right the people who believe in my potential and give my very best to help Panathinaikos achieve its goals. The trust the club has placed in me means a lot to me and gives me even more strength moving forward.”
