1. Discussions with the investment group
Discussions with the investment group are continuing intensively and are taking place in a positive atmosphere on all sides. Our goal, as we have stated many times, remains to reach a comprehensive agreement, which, in order to be implemented, must be approved by the General Assemblies of APOEL FOOTBALL and the Club.
2. Official Update to the Public
The Board of Directors reiterates, for the umpteenth time, that it has not “forgotten” its commitments.
APOEL supporters will be officially informed each time a significant stage of the process is completed. We therefore urge all APOEL supporters not to interpret our silence regarding any media report as confirmation of the information it contains.
3. The Financial Aspect
We deny that any amount has been deposited by the investment group to date.
At the same time, we confirm that discussions with the investor on this specific matter are ongoing. We acknowledge the investor’s positive attitude and the sensitivity they have demonstrated, as well as our shared goal of finding a way to provide financial support to the current management so that it can meet its immediate obligations. In this context, we are exploring the possibility of making funds available even before the agreement is finalized.
4. The Daily Effort and the Final Decision
With each passing day, the situation becomes more difficult. The Board of Directors, however, continues to make every possible effort to manage and resolve numerous issues that require immediate action.
Finally, the Chairman’s personal commitment remains in effect, in accordance with the provisions of the Company’s Articles of Incorporation, to the shareholders and the APOEL community, to present the final outcome of the discussions at a Special General Meeting, which will be convened exclusively for this purpose.
The final decision on whether to approve or reject the agreement will rest solely with the General Meeting.”
