The revelations coming to light regarding the case of a 41-year-old doctor in Peristeri who was poisoned by his 40-year-old ex-wife are shocking.

As captured in a video recording, the 40-year-old—who is said to have been a member of a scientific team that studied the bites of the “black widow”—illegally broke into her ex-husband’s ground-floor apartment using a master key.

Wearing black clothing, a hood, a surgical mask, and gloves, she was recorded rummaging through the kitchen, holding small jars and injecting the poisonous substance into food and water with a syringe.

The camera trap and the “zombie” symptoms

The 41-year-old’s suspicions had already begun in the summer, when, after dining out with the 40-year-old and their child at a restaurant, he felt severely ill. The restaurant’s security cameras revealed that the defendant had poured a liquid into his glass while he was away.

“He would regularly come home. The symptoms began with dry mouth and a rapid heartbeat, and then he would lose touch with his surroundings. He was like a zombie, in a constant state of agitation, and needed hospitalization with sedatives to recover,” a source close to his family told MEGA.

To prove her illegal actions, the 41-year-old installed a hidden surveillance camera at the height of the kitchen cabinets, which recorded the break-in frame by frame.

Dramatic Arrest and Evidence

Watching the break-in in real time, the doctor immediately alerted the police. Police officers who rushed to the scene located and arrested the 40-year-old woman at the intersection of Kalymnos and Mykonos Streets, along with her 68-year-old father and 64-year-old mother, who are accused of aiding and abetting.

During a search of their vehicle, authorities found:

  • A vial containing 10 ml of atropine
  • A second vial containing an unknown substance
  • A syringe, a surgical mask, and gloves

A video recording captures the moments of the arrest and what followed:

– 7:46 p.m.: Put your hands down now. Did you hear me? (the 40-year-old woman’s father to the doctor)

– 7:46 p.m.: “Get away. Help!” (The 41-year-old screams, “Get away!” She cries out for help and falls to the ground.)

– 7:46 p.m.: The 41-year-old gets up and walks away. A passerby appears to be shouting at her to come back.

The 41-year-old’s mother is also under investigation

The authorities’ investigation is in full swing, as the health condition of the 41-year-old’s mother is now under scrutiny; she reportedly exhibited similar unexplained symptoms, raising suspicions that she, too, had been poisoned.
