Euroleague: Efes and Paris are looking to bounce back, while Virtus aims for its third straight win

The first... installment of the two-week period is coming to a close
ALPHANEWSLIVE

The second “hellish week” of the EuroLeague comes to a close tonight (10/14), with no Greek teams on the schedule but interest remaining high.

In the first game of the night (7:00 p.m.), Hapoel Tel Aviv hosts Besiktas in Sofia. Both teams have a 2-2 record. Hapoel is coming off a 93-82 loss to Valencia, while Besiktas defeated Baskonia 92-84 on the road. For Itoudis’s team, Bar Timor is out due to illness, while Ginat and Kofi traveled with the team, though their participation has not been confirmed. The Turkish team remains without Jeffries following his wrist surgery.

At 8:30 p.m., Anadolu Efes hosts Bayern Munich in Istanbul. Both teams have the same record (1-3). Efes is coming off a heavy 89-66 loss to Olympiacos, while Bayern lost 94-87 to Virtus. The home team will be without Mike James, Cordinière, and Papagiannis, who are still recovering from injuries, while the visitors will field a full roster.

In the final game of the day (9:45 p.m.), Paris and Virtus will face off in Paris, with the two teams having followed contrasting trajectories so far. The Parisians have a 1-3 record following their 98-96 loss to Villeurbanne, while the Bolognese (2-2) are coming in with high morale, having won two straight games, most recently against Bayern. A question mark for the French team is Ifi, who injured his ankle on Sunday, though his absence has not been confirmed. Roden is listed as available, while no confirmed absences have been reported for Virtus.
