The body of the British citizen who had been missing from Nicosia General Hospital has been found.
According to reports, the body was in the morgue at Nicosia General Hospital; however, there was a different name on the morgue refrigerator and a different name on the body.
It should be noted that the issue was brought to light by the newspaper “Fileleftheros”; according to the information available so far, the body in question is that of a British citizen who had died in Paphos about a month ago.
In fact, due to the suspicious nature of his death, the body was transferred to Nicosia for the required autopsy, as the morgue at Paphos Hospital remains out of service.
The case came to light when a representative from a funeral home visited the morgue to collect the body and proceed with the necessary arrangements for its transfer to the United Kingdom. However, upon arrival, he discovered that the body was not there, prompting him to report the incident to the authorities and trigger an investigation.
According to the report, one of the possibilities being examined is the potential involvement of another funeral home in the process of receiving the remains, although no such action has been documented.
