A raid was conducted today, in the presence of a prosecutor and police, the clinic on Papanastasiou Street in Thessaloniki, which was performing chemotherapy treatments without the necessary licenses, as determined by the National Transparency Authority.
The order to seal the clinic in question was signed by the Deputy Regional Governor of Thessaloniki, Kostas Gioutikas, due to operational deficiencies, granting a 15-day grace period to find other clinics or facilities for the patients who were being treated there.
The last patients were transferred yesterday to other beds at facilities and clinics, and this morning the prosecutor entered the clinic, accompanied by police officers, to verify that it had been completely evacuated of patients and ultimately to seal the building, as shown in the accompanying photo
It should be noted that yesterday morning, the second clinic belonging to the same group was sealed off, in Thermi, Thessaloniki, also following a decision by the Deputy Regional Governor of Thessaloniki regarding improper operation.
