Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhurman will also attend the COP31 Climate Conference, following an invitation he received from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on July 14, 2026.
In a post, Mr. Erhurman noted that he learned from the press that the President of the Republic, Nicos Christodoulides, had stated that he, too, would be in Antalya, and since he himself had been asked by Turkish Cypriot media whether he would attend, he wished to clarify that he had received an invitation and would also be in Antalya.

“As we always say, diplomacy and dialogue are always good,” the Turkish Cypriot leader concluded in his post.
