Panathinaikos returns to the Telekom Center Athens aiming to extend its unbeaten streak in the EuroLeague, hosting Hapoel Tel Aviv (Oct. 16, 9:15 p.m.), which has also gotten off to a strong start this season.
The “Greens” are coming off a big road win at Partizan, a result that left them alone at the top of the standings and boosted their confidence heading into the rest of the season. Zeljko Obradović’s team aims to capitalize on home-court advantage and reach a 6-6 record, confirming its excellent start to the competition.

Facing them, however, is a team that has shown promising signs in the first part of the season. Hapoel has three wins in five games and is traveling to Athens on a high after its 100-82 victory over Besiktas. The Israeli team aims to build on its positive results and test its mettle against one of the top contenders.
For Panathinaikos, the goal is to capitalize on the momentum gained from its recent string of victories and maintain the same level of consistency on the court. The Telekom Center Athens is expected to once again be a key ally in their quest for yet another European victory.
On the court, Kendrick Nan and Kostas Sloukas remain sidelined, while a new issue has arisen with Nikos Rogavopoulos, who felt discomfort in his hamstring and will not play due to a strain. Isaac Bonga’s participation is doubtful. Hapoel will be without Tyler Ennis, Tomer Ginat, and Bar Timor, while Kantin Carrington is doubtful.
The game will be officiated by Emin Mogulkoc (Turkey), Kristaps Konstantinovs (Latvia), and Hugues Tépénier (France). In last year’s games between the two teams, Panathinaikos won 93–82 at the Telekom Center and lost 92–88 in Sofia.
