The police arrested another individual, a 16-year-old, yesterday in connection with the ongoing investigation into an assault committed against a 16-year-old, on October 9, 2026, in the Nicosia District. The incident involved a brutal beating of the 16-year-old by his peers in Latsia.
The 16-year-old who was arrested is expected to appear today before the Nicosia District Court for proceedings to issue a detention order against him.

In connection with the same case, seven individuals were arrested on October 14, 2026, to facilitate the investigation. One person was released after no evidence was found against him, while the remaining six individuals were placed in five-day custody following a detention order issued by the Nicosia District Court.
