Levadiakos vs. Volos Elabet: With their backs against the wall, both teams are looking for their first three points

Kickoff at 5:00 p.m.

Levadiakos hosts Volos (5:00 p.m.) for Matchday 7 of the Stoiximan Super League, in a game of great importance for both teams, who are still seeking their first win of the season.

For the Boeotians, in fact, the problem is even greater, as they have yet to score a goal after six matchdays! It’s no surprise, then, that they’re in 13th place with just one point, and they urgently need a positive result to turn things around—and, above all, boost their morale.

In their last match, Charalambous’s team lost 2-0 to Heraklis at Kaftanzoglio Stadium, with the Cypriot coach emphasizing after the game that “things will get difficult as long as we don’t get results.” For this reason, a victory against Volos is, without exaggeration, an absolute necessity for the club.

For its part, Volos is also in a difficult situation, both on and off the field. The Thessalians are coming off a 3-2 loss to Aris in Thessaloniki; overall, they haven’t performed poorly in the league, but they lack consistency, a fact reflected in their standings.

Bratsos’s team is in last place with -1 point due to the deduction of three points in the Sundgren case. Volos has filed an appeal, but while awaiting the decision, the team must work to minimize long stretches of inconsistency on the field and start earning points.

Among other things, Volos proceeded midweek to terminate two contracts unexpectedly—those of Yuri Lodigin and Tasos Tsochanis. The goalkeeper stayed with the team for just 29 days, while Tsochanis is leaving after wearing the captain’s armband for seven years—a development that raises new questions about the situation at the club.

Possible starting lineups:

Levadiakos (Ilias Charalambous): Elias, Pantea, Liagas, Panzo, Vichos, Ursi, Kostis, Vrakas, Nikas, Emmanouilidis, Ozegovic.

Volos Elabet (Kostas Bratsos): Siabanis, Katsikas, Agiaqua, Kargas, Medil, Bare, Komba, Gonzales, Kampela, Lambrou, Urtado.

Referee:
Assistant referees: Papapetrou (Petropoulos, Kollias);
Fourth official: Moschou;
VAR: Poulikidis; AVAR: Zampalas.
