Michalis Grigoriou is trying to restore the consistency that Aris lacked at the start of the season ahead of tomorrow’s match against Kifissia at Leoforos, for Matchday 7 of the Stoiximan Super League. The Greek coach appears determined to rely heavily on the starting lineup that took the field against Volos, which, if confirmed, would mark the first time this season that the “Yellows” have fielded the same lineup in two consecutive matches.
The performance in the first half against Volos was the main reason for this decision. Aris displayed more creativity, speed, and consistency on offense, scoring three goals, hitting the crossbar, and having another chance that found the back of the net but was disallowed. On the wings, Petrić linked up effectively with Garé, while on the other side, Richards and Bruma provided speed and width. In midfield, the Hongla-Racic duo provided greater balance, with Grigoriou looking to build on these specific strengths.
The same approach applies to the rest of the starting lineup. Fabiano and Sútalo are the mainstays in central defense, with Velcho in goal, while the partnership between Kouame and Kantevere on offense has made a positive impression and may be retained. Yianniotas is also available; he has been cleared from the injury list and could be an option depending on how the match unfolds.
On the other hand, Laurent Moron is out of the lineup. The Spanish forward left practice after a collision with a teammate, and tests revealed a neck injury, meaning he will not be available for the Kifissia match. For Grigoriou, however, the main priority remains consistency: turning the strong stretches seen in recent matches into a more stable performance, with clear roles and better teamwork.
