Another assault took place in Limassol, with a 17-year-old high school student as the victim.
According to the police, last Friday the minor’s parents filed a complaint, stating that on the morning of that same day, a 19-year-old non-student entered the school and, after locating the 17-year-old, attacked him.
The student fell to the ground from the blows, but the 19-year-old allegedly continued the attack by kicking him. A teacher noticed the incident and rushed to the scene, causing the 19-year-old to flee.
An ambulance was called to the scene and transported the 17-year-old to Limassol General Hospital. The doctors on duty determined that he had sustained head injuries and decided to admit him for treatment.
An arrest warrant was issued for the 19-year-old, who remains at large.
The Episkopi Police Station is investigating the case.
