Arson appears to be the cause of the fire that broke out early Monday morning in two vehicles in Germasogeia.
Specifically, as a reminder, around 1:20 a.m., a fire was discovered in the two cars, owned by a 67-year-old and a 56-year-old, which were parked outside their homes in the Germasogeia area.
The fire was extinguished by members of the Fire Department, while both vehicles sustained extensive damage. Investigations to determine the cause of the fire are continuing today; however, initial indications point to arson, as the police appear to have testimony that, immediately after the fire broke out, two individuals fled on foot with their heads covered by hoodies.
