A 30-year-old man was arrested pursuant to a court warrant in connection with the kidnapping, brutal beating, and stabbing of a 24-year-old Turkish Cypriot that occurred late last Friday night in Limassol.
It should be noted that the incident took place on October 16, 2026, in Limassol, when the young Turkish Cypriot was allegedly abducted from a park in the Agios Antonios area by three men, who then forcibly put him in a vehicle and transported him to a deserted location.
There, according to his account, they beat him and stabbed him with a knife, as they suspected him of being involved in recent dog thefts.
The 24-year-old suffered a serious leg injury and underwent surgery.
However, according to the police, the young man initially told hospital staff that he had been injured in a car accident—a claim that has raised questions for the authorities.
Yesterday morning, Monday, he went to the Limassol CID offices, where he gave a lengthy statement regarding the perpetrators and their motives.
