Giorgos Printezis believes that Tyler Dorsey is a player Olympiacos cannot afford to lose. On the show “EuroLeague Legends,” the Piraeus legend emphasized that both sides need each other, which is why a solution must be found to prevent a complete breakdown that would lead to a split.
“This isn’t the first—nor will it be the last—time a player has had complaints about his playing time. Maybe it’s just a way of reacting. Dorsey is a really good guy; he doesn’t cause problems in the locker room—we’ve been teammates for quite some time. In all matters, we need—I won’t say diplomacy—but cooperation. So, is Olympiacos going into the finals against Panathinaikos—a series that could determine a lot for the season—with only two Greek players? Dorsey made a mistake; we all agree on that. He’s a player who’s the subject of rumors about transfer fees and offers, and he’s feeling the pressure this season to prove himself. Yes, of course the team comes before everything else, but I disagree that the team doesn’t need the players. Everyone needs everyone else; the team needs them, and they need the team. Right now, Olympiacos needs Dorsey. I believe he is absolutely essential, also because of his passport, and everyone needs to sit down and find a solution,” he emphasized.
