With a focus on education, creativity, and equal opportunities for all children, Lib Lab—a new, modern space for learning and creative expression in Tsireio—was inaugurated on Friday, October 16, 2026, the Lib Lab, a new, modern space for learning and creative expression, was inaugurated at the Tsireio Elementary School in Limassol.
The creation of Lib Lab is an initiative by Angeliki Chalkiopoulou and the Little Odysseus team, which was made possible thanks to a collective effort and collaboration with Exinity and the Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation, who supported the project as main sponsors, as well as the contribution of the school’s administration, teachers, and students.
The inauguration took place in the presence of representatives of the educational community and other guests, with the participation of the Commissioner for the Protection of Children’s Rights, Elena Perikleous, and the Inspector of the Ministry of Education, Sports, and Youth, Ira Papatheodoulou, who delivered welcoming remarks, highlighting the importance of initiatives that promote inclusion and equal opportunities in education.
A space that opens up new horizons
The Lib Lab goes beyond the traditional concept of a school library. It was designed as a vibrant, flexible, and welcoming space where books, knowledge, imagination, and creative expression come together, giving children the opportunity to discover new ideas, develop their skills, and learn through collaboration.
Beyond its educational aspect, Lib Lab promotes acceptance of diversity, interaction, and inclusion, creating an environment where every child can feel welcome, participate actively, and express themselves freely.
The initiative gains particular significance through the active participation of students from Special Education Units in shaping the space, demonstrating in practice that inclusion is not merely an educational approach, but a daily experience of collaboration, creativity, and mutual respect.
From the vision of Little Odysseus to the creation of Lib Lab
Behind the creation of Lib Lab lies the initiative of Angeliki Chalkiopoulou and the Little Odysseus team, who worked to transform an idea into a meaningful space for learning and coexistence.
Guided by the belief that every child deserves access to knowledge, creativity, and opportunities that allow them to develop their potential, the team took the initiative and played a decisive role in the design and implementation of Lib Lab.
Angeliki Chalkiopoulou, on behalf of Little Odysseus, stated: “Lib Lab was born out of our desire to create a space where all children would have the opportunity to discover, create, and learn together, without exclusion. From the initial idea to its realization, this effort was built on collaboration, trust, and the belief that education can open doors for every child.”
A Shared Investment in Education and Equal Opportunities
For Exinity and the Andrey & Julia Dashin Foundation, supporting Lib Lab reflects a broader philosophy of social contribution that emphasizes education, empowering children, and creating opportunities with a positive and lasting impact.
On the occasion of the opening, Antonia Drousioti, representing Exinity and the Andrey & Julia Dashin Foundation, stated: “Every child carries within them a world full of possibilities. The important thing is to give them the opportunity to discover it. That is what moved us about the Little Odysseus initiative and made us believe in its value from the very beginning. For us, the Lib Lab isn’t just another space in the school. It’s an investment in children’s self-confidence, imagination, and dreams.”
