Cristiano Ronaldo does not seem to have any regrets about his decision to leave the Portuguese national team following his falling-out with the coach, Jorge Jesus.
The 41-year-old superstar, who was summoned to explain his actions and was punished with a one-month suspension and a fine of 255 euros (which, based on his contract with Al-Nassr, would take him just 39 seconds of work to pay off), submitted a 2,000-word statement
According to Sky Sports, in addition to what he wrote to justify his behavior, CR7 also attached his… resume to the brief! Apparently, he wanted to remind everyone at the federation who he is and what he has contributed to Portuguese soccer.
The decision states: “Regarding the mitigating factors related to significant contributions to soccer and recognition for athletic achievements, the defendant Cristiano Ronaldo submitted his athletic resume, which includes the awards and honors he has received throughout his career (pages 126 through 128 of the case file).”
