As of Monday night, Kevin Porter Jr. is no longer with the Bucks. The “Bucks” announced the termination of their contract with the American, former PAOK guard, after the 26-year-old star was unable to secure a spot on the roster of Giannis Antetokounmpo’s former team, so it was deemed best for him to leave the 2021 champions and begin considering a possible return to European basketball.
Last season, Porter Jr. averaged 17.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 7.4 assists per game in 38 games with the Bucks, playing 33.5 minutes per game.
Porter Jr. is now free to seek the next step in his career, having put behind him the problems he faced last season when he underwent knee arthroscopy.
The Kings are one of the teams seriously considering him as they look for solutions following Ben Simmons’s severe Achilles tendon injury.
The Spurs are also among the potential destinations, while the Lakers and Grizzlies are among the teams that could make a move for the American guard.
