The company reports a gradual restoration of Google Cloud services following a “power outage” that caused serious disruptions to banking services and digital applications. As the company notes in its latest update, “we are seeing a recovery in services and are prioritizing the restoration of currently active workloads and applications.”
Google tentatively estimated that the full restoration of existing services would be completed by 4:00 p.m. Cyprus time.
It should be noted that users encountered issues with the Revolut app, reporting that they were unable to access their accounts or manage their funds.
When attempting to log in to the app, the message “Something went wrong” appeared, prompting users to try again later.

The outage caused disruption, as users were unable to access their available funds through the app, with no further information initially provided regarding the causes of the problem.
What Revolut Reported
According to Revolut’s service status page, most services were either down or partially operational. Among the affected services were card payments and cash withdrawals from ATMs.
In a statement on Platform X, Revolut confirmed the issue while attempting to reassure its customers. “We are currently experiencing an outage affecting multiple services. We can confirm that all of our customers’ money and data are safe,” the company said.

At the same time, problems were also reported in Germany, with ING Germany announcing that its customers are having difficulty accessing online banking services and the bank’s mobile app. According to ING, the problems are due to a technical glitch, though it remains unclear whether they are related to the Google Cloud outage.
According to Sky News, services of the British National Health Service (NHS England) were also affected in the UK, as well as bike-sharing platforms and live broadcasts of court proceedings.
Lloyds Bank also acknowledged issues with certain online services, clarifying, however, that its core banking app remained available. “Our app is working, and customers can log in as usual, although we are aware that some are experiencing issues with specific online services this morning,” the bank stated.
Lloyds added that it has been informed of similar disruptions at other organizations, noting that it is closely monitoring the situation.
