Zeliko Obradović confirmed that Matías Lesor will be fully fit for tomorrow’s game between Panathinaikos and Baskonia.

“He’s more than fine. He trained normally, everything is fine, and he’s not having any problems at all,” he clarified, while regarding the status of the injured players, he said: “We have two players who are out of practice: Mantzoukas and Rogavopoulos. Everyone else got some rest, is doing well, and trained with the team.”

As for tomorrow’s game? “It’s a matter of respect—first and foremost, for ourselves. They’ve changed coaches, and that’s the most important factor. We’ve seen glimpses of their play in the last two games they played under Coach Perasović. He’s tried to make some changes, but their style of play is obvious. It’s very similar to the style of Spanish teams, like Baskonia.”

Regarding the areas where he expects improvement following the loss to Hapoel, he emphasized: “That’s your way of thinking about basketball. My approach is completely different, because it doesn’t matter whether you win or lose. Even in a game you win, there are things you need to change. It’s a daily effort, and we’ll keep working every day to get better. We have players returning, and we need time to go over our tactics again, both on offense and defense. The positive thing is that these are experienced players who know how to respond. So it doesn’t matter whether we lost or won a game; what matters is that we keep working hard and stay on the same page.”

When asked how satisfied he is with the team’s performance so far this season, he replied bluntly: “Very satisfied.”

Finally, regarding how Sloukas and Nan are adjusting after their return, he noted: “It’s not easy, but that’s the situation, and we’re not going to complain about it. We need to find time to work. They’re experienced players, and you don’t have to repeat things to them over and over, but the work is essential. Obviously, you can’t do everything in a single practice, so sometimes it’s better to have a specific number of players on the field and work with them.”
