This year’s PAOK refuses to lose! In a game where they had just 7 assists and 21 turnovers (!), the “Double-Headed Eagle of the North” managed to overcome the tough Ulm team at the packed Palataki and secure the win with a score of 87-78 in the fourth round of the EuroCup group stage!
The absence of Nick Calathes was more than evident; Andreas Trinchieri’s team failed to meet high performance standards and constantly resorted to individual plays, however, even with this “unorthodox” style of play, the quality and depth of the roster allowed the Thessaloniki team to celebrate their third European victory of the season in Group D of the competition.
Once again, Cedi Osman led the winners with 21 points and 4 rebounds, while Tyree added 19 points and 5 rebounds, and Forrest (10 pts., 5 reb.) and Bazina (8 pts., 3 reb.) providing valuable support. For the Germans, who had five players in double figures, Sims stood out with 17 points and 3 assists.
