The intervention by members of the Fire Department over the past 24 hours was crucial in rescuing two dogs that were in danger after becoming trapped in a gorge and a pit.
In the first case, the dog was rescued from a ravine in the Farangia area of the Kato Akourdalia community in the Paphos district and returned to its owner.
In the second case, the dog was freed from a pit in the Municipality of Dromolaxia – Meneou in the Larnaca district and was handed over to local authorities after being spotted by a passerby. At the same time, members of the Fire Department issued recommendations to the municipality to secure the pit.
