John Konchar is now officially an Olympiacos player, as of Thursday evening (10/22)!
The “Red-and-Whites” announced the start of their partnership with the 30-year-old American guard/forward, with both sides signing a two-year contract, that is, through the summer of 2028.

The experienced star, who recently became a free agent after leaving the New York Knicks, was selected by Giorgos Bartzokas and his staff to strengthen the team’s perimeter, adding a player with a knack for defense and rebounding to the roster.
In February 2026, he was traded from the Grizzlies to the Jazz as part of a multi-player deal. On September 15, after leaving Memphis, he signed a one-year contract with the New York Knicks, but they released him on the 30th of the same month as they made decisions regarding the depth of their roster.
During his seven years playing in the magical world of the NBA, Konchar wore the jerseys of the Memphis Grizzlies and the Utah Jazz, playing a total of 363 regular-season games with 4.3 points, 4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and nearly one steal per game.
