Panathinaikos put on a spectacular performance in Kazakhstan, crushing Kairat 5-1 and going 2-0 in the Conference League’s group stage!
The “Greens” played exceptional soccer with many standout performers in yet another match, dominating from the start and securing a resounding victory at a challenging away venue—a result that not only earns them three valuable points but also provides a significant goal tally heading into the rest of the competition.
The “Clover” opened the scoring as early as the 6th minute, with Vicente Taborda finding the back of the net off a cross from Giorgos Kyriakopoulos. In the 24th minute, Cyril Desers scored from the penalty spot after earning the penalty himself, while in the 47th minute, the Nigerian forward struck again to make it 3-0.
The “party” continued with Kings Kangwa in the 57th minute, with a spectacular free kick, and Elmin Rastonder from a one-on-one situation in the 75th minute, capping off Panathinaikos’s dominant performance in Kazakhstan. The only thing Kairat managed to do was pull one back to make it 1-5 with a goal by Bekbolat in the 79th minute.
