Dimitris Giannakopoulos reacted quickly to Olympiacos’ announcement. The owner of Panathinaikos BC responded in an Instagram story, taking a dig at the red-and-whites’ statement.
First, he states that he, too, will post Olympiacos’ statement “to give it even more publicity,” as he characteristically puts it…

“I’m going to post your entire statement as is, so that your statement reaches an even wider audience. So that everyone—everyone, everyone, everyone—reads it.
And I’ll keep it, because you’re saying things in there that very soon…,” says Dimitris Giannakopoulos, pausing, and continues…
“Well, I’m posting your statement. You understand what that means and what’s coming. Because saying that you aren’t involved exposes others—or will expose others,” he noted at first.
“And as you know very well, whenever you accidentally slip through a loophole in the law and things go wrong, there’s the Giannakopoulos Law. One way or another, who’s in, who’s out, front, back, left, right—you know it, I know it. I hope it comes out the right way,” he concludes…
