A 24-year-old man from Syria is wanted to assist with the investigation into an ongoing case involving a residential burglary, kidnapping, and robbery, crimes committed on October 18, 2026, in the Nicosia District.

This incident occurred in the early morning hours of October 18, 2026, in Nicosia. According to a report filed with the police by a 24-year-old man, unknown individuals broke into his home, beat him, transported him to various areas of Nicosia, and then abandoned him. The perpetrators are also alleged to have stolen a bag from the 24-year-old’s home, which contained a cell phone and a bank card.
In connection with the case, evidence emerged against a 34-year-old man, who was arrested on October 19, 2026, pursuant to a court warrant to facilitate the investigation. On October 20, 2026, he was brought before the District Court, which issued an order for his eight-day detention.
Further investigations revealed evidence against the 24-year-old, on the basis of which an arrest warrant was issued, and he is now wanted.
