The Paris Saint-Germain vs. Lyon derby has been rescheduled due to fears of disturbances!
As officially announced by Ligue 1, the match will take place at the Parc des Princes on Monday evening, October 26 (9:30 p.m.), instead of Sunday evening, when it was originally scheduled to take place, following an order from the Police Department and given the turbulent situation prevailing in the French capital.
“The LFP acknowledges the order from the Police Department, which prohibits the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Lyon, scheduled for the 8th round of Ligue 1, scheduled for Sunday, October 25, at 8:45 p.m., and has decided, in agreement with Ligue 1+, to reschedule the match for Monday, October 26, at 9:30 p.m.,” as stated in the announcement by the French league’s governing body.
Paris Saint-Germain and Lyon are tied for first place in the standings, and what’s impressive is that they aren’t the only ones, since Paris, Lille, and Monaco have also each earned 14 points, in a truly wild start to this year’s Ligue 1!
