Giorgos Bogris responded via a social media post to the revelations regarding the 2019 incident, when he was playing for Promitheas Patras. Specifically, it had come to light that an order had been issued to terminate his contract, and he also addressed the technical foul he had received—which he claims was unjustified— during the game against AEK on November 30 of that same year, when Petros Papapetrou was part of the refereeing trio.
The former Panathinaikos and Olympiacos basketball player posted a photo alongside Panagiotis Fasoulas, accompanying it with a pointed message: “Always on the right side of history. You came after me back then—so what’s going on now? Am I a good guy after all?”
