Giannis Antetokounmpo emphasized the need for the Heat to stay united and not let themselves be discouraged by their difficult start to the season, following their 128-111 home loss to the Pistons.
“Sometimes, when things don’t go the way you want them to, you get discouraged and your defense isn’t as good,” he said, explaining that trust among the players can completely change the team’s outlook.

“When we’re focused and trust each other on every level, offense becomes easier and defense becomes easier. Right now we’re not where we need to be, but we have to keep taking the positives from every game,” added the Greek superstar.
Antetokounmpo also acknowledged that a start like this could serve as a powerful wake-up call for the team. “Sometimes a team needs a shock. We were definitely shocked,” he said, expressing his belief that this situation could heighten the sense of urgency and help the Heat respond immediately.
