The formidable Tasos Douvikas is unstoppable in Italy, who took Como by the hand and led them to a 2-0 home victory over Sassuolo in the 8th round of Serie A.
With his two goals, the Greek forward has now scored seven goals in the Italian league and climbed to the top of the scoring charts, tied with Varela and Raimondo. If you add his three goals in the Champions League, his total reaches 10 goals across all competitions—and October isn’t even over yet.
Douvikas scored both goals within an eleven-minute span (49′–60′) to secure Como’s “three points,” propelling them into the top four of the standings with 17 points and leaving them just two points behind league-leading Inter. Sassuolo dropped to 14th place and remained on eight points.
In the other match, Bologna, thanks to goals by Casale (57′) and Bernardeschi (80′), secured a valuable 2-0 away win at Cagliari, climbing to 13th place with eight points. The losers missed the opportunity to break into the top six and are now in 8th place with 13 points.
