On Sunday night (10/25), Aris continued its string of strong performances and upward trajectory!
Michalis Grigoriou’s team put on what was likely its best performance of the season, resulting in a comfortable 3-1 victory over Atromitos at “Kl. Vikelidis” Stadium in the eighth round of the Stoiximan Super League, while also celebrating its third consecutive three-point win and fifth overall in the league.
All the goals of the match were scored in the first 45 minutes, in a half that may not have featured a great many scoring chances but was played at an exceptionally fast pace. In the second half, Atromitos made adjustments and balanced the game, but the Thessaloniki side comfortably managed their lead, securing a comfortable victory.
The home team’s goals were scored by Fabiano (4′), Kouame (23′), and Petris (27′), with Serginho temporarily equalizing in the 9th minute. Following this result, Aris reached 16 points and moved—albeit temporarily—into the top four, while Atromitos remained second-to-last without a win (2 points).
It’s worth noting that during the match, Aris posted a message on Instagram expressing its strong dissatisfaction with the refereeing, both regarding the visitors’ goal and Gare’s disallowed goal in the 38th minute.
