There’s a new leader at the top of the standings following the conclusion of Matchday 7 of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan.
AEK won the derby against Omonia and climbed into sole first place with 16 points. Apollon and AEL are hot on their heels, just one point behind, while Pafos and Omonia have fallen back and now trail with 12 points.

Omonia: Lost its edge—and its unbeaten streak along with it
On the other hand, Aris and APOEL, both of which secured victories, are closing in on the top spots with 12 and 11 points, respectively, and essentially round out the top seven in the standings, which have taken shape early on. Barring any dramatic surprises, these are the teams that will first battle for a spot in the top six and then for European qualification and the title.
At the bottom of the table, Krasava ENY and Nea Salamina each earned a valuable point, Anorthosis secured a much-needed victory, while the rest suffered defeats that set them back.
