Heavy rainfall is occurring throughout Cyprus, affecting traffic on the road network.
Due to the rain, visibility on the roads is limited, and water is pooling and flowing in various areas, making the road surface slippery.

In addition to the problems caused by the severe weather conditions, on the Larnaca-Nicosia highway, approximately one kilometer from the Rizoelia roundabout, in the direction of Nicosia, a section of the left lane has been blocked due to a stalled crane truck.

The vehicle is immobilized in the emergency lane and partially in the left lane of the highway. Police officers are on the scene and are taking steps to move the vehicle.
The police advise drivers passing through the area, as well as the general public using the road network, to exercise extreme caution.
