The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Environment announces that today, Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 1:55 p.m., a fire broke out in the Kaminia area of the Neochorio community, in the Paphos district.

Forest firefighting crews responded immediately, bringing the fire under complete control by 2:30 p.m., after it had burned an area of 1.5 decares of low wild vegetation.

Twenty members of the Forestry Department, along with four fire trucks, and 2 members of the Fire Department with 1 fire truck.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
