Little hands in the dirt, fresh eggs, grapes straight from the vines, and canvases decorated with wildflowers and aromatic herbs from the natural landscape of Minthis. These were just a few of the scenes that filled this year’s “Bring Your Child to Work” day, when Minthis was transformed into a place of discovery for some very special visitors. As part of this long-standing tradition, Pafilia welcomed the children of its team members for a day full of experiences, learning, and creativity.
This is a cherished tradition that has evolved alongside the company over the years and embodies a value deeply rooted in Pafilia’s culture: that the people behind the company, as well as the families who stand by them, are an integral part of its journey.
More than just a chance for children to get to know their parents’ workplace, “Bring Your Child to Work” is an opportunity for shared experiences. Away from offices and daily responsibilities, Pafilia’s youngest “visitors” had the chance to explore, learn, create, and, above all, share beautiful moments with their parents.
This year, the natural setting of Minthis provided the ideal backdrop for this special day.
The day began in Minthis’s organic garden, where the children rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty, planting and discovering firsthand how plants grow and how important it is to care for nature. At the same time, they had the opportunity to harvest fresh vegetables, which they later enjoyed at the family lunch table. Another special moment was interacting with the garden’s feathered residents, as the children fed the chickens and collected fresh eggs.
The experience then moved to the vineyards. With the grape harvest in full swing, the children had the opportunity to pick grapes directly from the vines, gaining firsthand experience of one of the traditions inextricably linked to the Cypriot landscape and discovering yet another aspect of life at Minthis.
The nature surrounding them then served as a source of creative inspiration. As part of an arts and crafts activity, the children used wildflowers and aromatic herbs from Minthis, which they carefully arranged on their own canvases, creating unique works inspired by the landscape. Each creation thus became a special keepsake, carrying a little piece of Minthis home with it.
Amid planting, harvesting, caring for the animals, and creating art, the day offered something simple yet increasingly precious: time together.
For Pafilia, “Bring Your Child to Work” has evolved into much more than an annual event. It is a tradition that highlights the human relationships behind the business and a corporate culture that has been shaped over generations. A culture in which employees are not viewed solely through their professional roles, but as people with families, personal stories, and lives that extend beyond the workplace.
Perhaps that is precisely the essence of this tradition. For one day, children have the opportunity to step into a small part of their parents’ world. And, in turn, they bring something of their own to the world of Pafilia: their curiosity, energy, laughter, and imagination.
As another “Bring Your Child to Work” day comes to a close, the hands stained with dirt are washed clean, the grapes are enjoyed, and the colorful canvases find their place at home. The moments we created together, however, remain.
And with them, a Pafilia tradition continues—one that celebrates not only the people who work for the company but also the wider family that grows alongside it.
