A whole day filled with play, creativity, music, and smiles awaits young and old alike at the 2nd Nicosia Kids Festival “A Hug for the Children,” organized by Cyfield, on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Old GSP Square, featuring popular singer Antigone—who represented Cyprus at Eurovision—as the guest star.
Following last year’s success and attendance by more than 6,000 visitors, the festival returns, inviting families to enjoy a special day in downtown Nicosia, with free admission, free activities, and a rich entertainment program.
The Nicosia Kids Festival program is designed to encourage children’s active participation, giving them the opportunity to play, create, explore, and have fun.
Among other things, on the main stage, Alex Panayiotis and Katerina Christofidou will take the children on a journey through “Anakyklosia,” featuring live music, colorful puppets, and original songs. The energy will pick up with dance performances by Creative Dance Studio and Shiakallis Dance Studio.
The Mascarini Theater, Mordan, the Shadow Theater, and Chrysoula Andreou will introduce children to the magical world of theater. The Educational Corner holds a special place at the festival, where learning becomes play, featuring Engino Cyprus, SciSO Cyprus, The Merry People Academy, and Imagination Gaming Cyprus.
In the Creative Corner, face painting, balloon art, and mascots from Mikeymania, as well as a stilt walker, will offer even more opportunities for play and creativity. DJs and a live radio broadcast will provide the day’s musical entertainment, while specially designed rest areas and street food options will allow families to take a break and continue their stroll at their own pace.
The Nicosia Kids Festival, of course, is not just about entertainment. At the heart of the event is support for nonprofit organizations that do invaluable work every day for those in need. Hope For Children, Sophia For Children, One Dream, One Wish, the Alkinoos Artemios Foundation, Little Heroes, Embrace of Hope, Hope Foundation, Little Volunteers, the Pan-Cyprian Association of Foster Families “Nest of Love,” the Karaiskakio Foundation, Association for the Prevention and Handling of Domestic Violence (SPAVO), Pan-Cyprian Association for Rare Genetic Disorders “Unique Smiles,” “I Embrace with Love,” the Nicosia Children’s Shelter, and “Compass of Love.” They will present their work and initiatives through specially designed booths. At the same time, they will offer products for sale to support their commendable efforts, and all proceeds from these sales will go directly to the participating organizations. The following organizations will also participate: the National Betting Authority (EAS) and the Cyprus Basketball Federation (KOK).
Through this initiative, Cyfield invites all families once again this year to be part of this great celebration and to share a day where play and entertainment meet solidarity and.
