This development serves as concrete confirmation of the University’s international orientation and the realization of a long-term strategic vision for a strong global academic and research presence. Today, a total of six degree programs are offered at the EUC Frankfurt Campus, strengthening the University’s presence in Germany. Specifically, the following degree programs are offered:

Establishing a Strong Presence in China: Strategic Partnerships with Leading Academic Institutions
The European University of Cyprus’s strategic international partnership with leading academic institutions in China—including the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Minjiang University, and Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications (NJUPT)—represents a significant enhancement of Cyprus’s standing on the global academic landscape.
In particular, the strategic partnership between the European University of Cyprus and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) marks a decisive step of international academic significance for Cyprus and European higher education as a whole. The establishment of the joint “Center for Chinese Studies” on campus is not merely an institutional collaboration, but the creation of a highly influential intercultural and scientific hub between Europe and Asia.
As the first Center for Chinese Studies in Cyprus and the fifth in Europe, this initiative highlights the EUC’s institutional maturity and academic outreach, with a strategic focus on interdisciplinary research in the fields of law, the Humanities, and the Social Sciences. At the same time, it establishes Cyprus as a point of reference on the international academic map.
For over five years, EUC’s strategic partnership with Minjiang University in Fuzhou, Fujian Province (with a total population of over 41 million), has already led to the creation of the International Digital Economy College (IDEC), through which fully accredited four-year degree programs are offered on the Minjiang campus. This collaboration substantially strengthens the internationalization of higher education and the convergence of European and Asian academic standards.
The partnership is expanding dynamically in the areas of research and culture, through joint scientific initiatives, international conferences, and joint publications of research findings held in both China and Cyprus, thereby strengthening the creation of a sustainable ecosystem for knowledge production.
Similarly, the European University of Cyprus’s collaboration with Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications (NJUPT) strengthens the University’s presence in cutting-edge fields such as advanced technologies and health sciences. NJUPT ranks among the world’s top research universities, with particular excellence in telecommunications and computer science. According to the 2025 Shanghai Ranking, it is ranked 376th worldwide, while the 2025 Nature Index places it 163rd globally, placing it among the top 2.7% of research institutions worldwide.
As part of this strategic partnership with NJUPT, accredited undergraduate and graduate degree programs will begin in September 2026 through the newly established European Cyprus Institute (EUCI) on the NJUPT campus, in the historic city of Nanjing (with a total population of over 9 million), further strengthening its international presence and ties with the Asian academic community.
Overall, the European University of Cyprus is shaping a new model of international academic presence through strategic partnerships in China. From the “Center for Chinese Studies” in Cyprus to IDEC and the new EUCI in Nanjing, a cohesive Europe–Asia network of education, research, and innovation is taking shape.
The European University of Cyprus’s strategic partnerships in China substantially enhance the international standing of Cypriot higher education, making Cyprus an active and reliable hub connecting the European and Chinese academic and research communities.
