Amyth of Nicosia, a member of Thanos Hotels & Resorts, secured a significant international distinction, earning its first-ever Michelin Key as part of the 2026 Michelin Keys announcement.
At the same time, Amyth of Mykonos, also a member of Thanos Hotels & Resorts, retained its Michelin Key, reaffirming its consistent presence among the hotels recognized in the international Michelin Guide.
The distinction awarded to Amyth of Nicosia is particularly significant, as it marks the first Michelin Key awarded to a hotel in Nicosia, recognizing the exceptional hospitality experience it offers in the capital.
Michelin Keys are the Michelin Guide’s relatively new international distinction for the hospitality industry. The program made its debut in 2024, extending Michelin’s evaluation philosophy from the restaurant industry to the hospitality sector.
Unlike the well-known Michelin Stars awarded to restaurants, hotels are recognized with Michelin Keys, with the evaluation focusing on five key areas: architecture and interior design, the quality and consistency of service, the hotel’s personality and unique character, value for money, and the hotel’s contribution to the guest’s overall experience at that particular destination.
As with the Michelin Guide for restaurants, the evaluation and awarding process for the Michelin Keys is conducted independently of Michelin.
The first distinction awarded to Amyth of Nicosia and the retention of the Michelin Key by Amyth of Mykonos represent significant recognition for the teams at both hotels and for Thanos Hotels & Resorts, as well as for the hospitality experience they offer their guests.
