On Friday, October 9, 2026, the third EKO Smile Challenge, part of the Smile & Win Contest, came to a close, with Mr. Alexis Proestos as the grand prize winner. The prize was a Mercedes-Benz GLC 300e 4M Plug-in Hybrid, with a total value of €80,100.

The Challenge took place at the Mercedes-Benz showroom in Nicosia, in a specially designed area with full technical support. Mr. Proestos successfully completed three consecutive challenges, which assessed his knowledge, memory, and skills. Upon completion of the process, EKO’s CEO, Mr. George Grigoras, presented him with the keys to a Mercedes-Benz.
The event was attended by executives from EKO’s management and human resources departments, media representatives, as well as relatives and friends of the contestants, creating a particularly warm atmosphere throughout the evening.
Ms. Andri Karantoni hosted and coordinated the EKO Smile Challenge, guiding the participants through the competition’s three challenges: “Find the Symbols,” “EKO Knowledge,” and “EKO Puzzle.” The event culminated with the announcement of the grand prize winner and the awarding of the trophy.
Transparent Selection Process for Contestants
The selection of contestants took place on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, via the online platform random.org, which ensures an automated process without the possibility of human intervention.
The process was conducted by the Deputy Mayor of Latsia, Mr. Kyprianos Filippou, in the presence of an independent legal advisor and EKO executives, further reinforcing the transparency and credibility of the tender.
