The University of Limassol (University of Limassol – UoL) supported INSPIRE 2026, which took place on October 7–8 on Makarios Avenue, in the heart of Nicosia. The festival brought together entrepreneurs, executives, investors, creators, academics, and future leaders from Cyprus and abroad, offering a space to exchange ideas on entrepreneurship and innovation.
The program was organized into seven thematic stages and included discussions, masterclasses, workshops, sessions on startups and financing, as well as discussions on artificial intelligence, the future of work, and sustainability. Networking areas, live music, and street food rounded out the two-day program.
Through its support of the festival and Dr. Charalambous’s participation, the University of Limassol helped bridge the gap between the academic and business communities. This presence demonstrated the University’s support for initiatives that encourage collaboration and open dialogue regarding the future of education, careers, and organizations.
Dr. Maria Charalambous, Director of the MSc in Occupational and Organizational Psychology program at the University of Limassol, participated in the panel discussion “Jobs and Skills of the Future” at the INSPIRE 2026 Entrepreneurship Festival. Her participation engaged the University in a broader dialogue on the changes shaping careers, education, and organizations.
The discussion took place on Wednesday, October 7, on the FUTURE OF WORK STAGE at 360 Nicosia. It was part of the festival’s program on the future of work, focusing on the connection between the evolution of professions, skills, and the preparation of future professionals.
Dr. Charalambous’s participation linked the academic field of occupational and organizational psychology with the festival’s theme of the changing world of work. Her position at the University of Limassol lent particular significance to the discussion regarding the university community, as education and organizations respond to new demands on people and their careers.
