Changes will take effect in September 2026 regarding the issuance of motor vehicle driver’s licenses, as each candidate will be required to complete a specific number of classes before taking the exam.

Specifically, anyone planning to take a driver’s license exam must complete 5–10 lessons, depending on the vehicle category. For example, as shown in the table below, to obtain a driver’s license for a sedan (Class B), a person must first complete at least ten driving lessons before being eligible to take the exam.

If the applicant fails the test, they must take five more lessons before being eligible to retake the test.

Prior to the practical exam, the driver training certificate must be submitted along with the other required documents.

These changes take effect on September 14, 2026. As of September 14, 2026, no practical exams will be administered to candidates unless they present the relevant certificate.
