Two men, aged 39 and 42, were arrested pursuant to court warrants as part of an investigation into a case involving the offenses of causing bodily injury, carrying a knife, illegal possession and carrying of a weapon, and making threats.
According to the evidence under review, at around 9:00 p.m. last night, the two suspects went to the home of a 35-year-old man in the Paphos district, demanding payment of a sum of money that the 35-year-old allegedly owed to the 39-year-old.
The 35-year-old was not home, and a 26-year-old employee of his was at the residence, whom the two suspects allegedly attacked with a knife and a golf club before fleeing the scene.
The 26-year-old was taken to Paphos General Hospital, where he was found to have a laceration on his hand and abrasions. The 39-year-old was also taken to the same hospital, where he was found to have a hand injury; after receiving first aid, he was also discharged.
The two suspects were arrested pursuant to court warrants and taken into custody to facilitate the investigation. The Paphos CID is continuing its investigation.
