According to reports from Turkish Cypriot media and posts on social media, the cost of airline tickets from the illegal airport in Tymbou to Turkey has skyrocketed following the suspension of ferry services pending an investigation into the circumstances of the tragic maritime accident.
A case in point is an airline that, within twenty-four hours, raised its ticket price from 6,000 Turkish lira to 22,000.
