Another body was recovered on Monday during ongoing search and rescue operations off the coast of occupied Kyrenia, following the recent deadly maritime accident. With this latest development, the death toll from the maritime tragedy has risen to 21, while efforts continue to locate seven other people who remain missing.
According to a statement from the “Prime Minister’s Office,” which was reported by Turkish Cypriot online media on Monday evening, the necessary procedures have already been set in motion to identify the recovered remains.
The statement notes that efforts to locate all missing persons are continuing unabated, while also expressing condolences to the families of the victims.
