Police authorities in Larnaca have been put on alert. An 18-year-old foreign national on trial, who had been transferred to the Larnaca District Court for further proceedings, escaped from custody.

Members of the Larnaca Police Department have already rushed to the scene and are conducting searches in the wider area to locate the defendant and investigate the circumstances under which he escaped.
