The two men had gone out to a nightclub in Livadia to have fun and, according to reports, had consumed a significant amount of alcohol. When they returned to the residence where they were staying in Aradippou, a heated argument broke out outside the house. A few minutes later, the altercation moved inside the house. There, the 21-year-old allegedly grabbed two knives from the kitchen and stabbed him repeatedly.
BYRON BYRONOS—Police Spokesperson “Around 1:00 a.m., a report was received regarding an injured person on a street in the Aradippou area. Police officers immediately went to the scene, where they found the 33-year-old man with multiple wounds on his body.”
His condition was deemed extremely serious, and he was transported to Nicosia General Hospital, where he underwent a lengthy surgical procedure. He had been stabbed multiple times, one of which punctured his lung.

“Subsequent investigations revealed evidence pointing to a 21-year-old man, who was located a few hours later and arrested.”
The young man was brought before the Larnaca Court and remanded in custody for eight days.
The two men, both originally from Sri Lanka, are not only roommates but also work together at a dry cleaner’s.
